Jeff Andrews started FA Engineering as a Principal Engineer and Vice President. He brought a strong industrial and design background with experience in environmental engineering and lean processes. As the company began to grow, FA Engineering’s principals focused on building a company with longevity in the community.
Jeff is now the President of the company, and enjoys opportunities to mentor the next generation of engineers. Idaho State University presented Jeff with a Professional Achievement Award in 2018. His experience in industrial plants, drive for cultivating client relationships, and foundation methodology of physics-based design help to push FA Engineering as a leader for consulting engineering services.
FA Engineering (formerly Feuerborn Associates Engineering) was founded in 2011 by Richard Feuerborn and Jeff Andrews, after K&F Engineers was dissolved. Richard Feuerborn continued to serve as President of FA Engineering until retirement in 2021.
Jeremy Phelps, Mechanical Engineer, started at the company in 2012. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager for six years, carrying high profit margin and project loads. In early 2018, Jeremy was offered a position as a Principal Engineer and joined Jeff and Richard in ownership. He ushered in the next generation of leaders for FAE employees. Jeremy carries a sense of efficiency and quality to the team, focused on mentorship for new employees. Jeremy is the current Vice President of our company.
We value honesty, open minds, teamwork, dedication, tolerance, and laughter. To fulfill our mission, we place our client relationship as our utmost priority. A multi-discipline approach helps us identify issues quickly and resolve them efficiently, keeping your projects on schedule and within budget. Above all else, we value the simple principle of treating all involved in our projects with respect and dignity.
FA Engineering makes an ongoing effort to enhance a work culture. We have adopted an open book philosophy and share all financial information and forecasts with our employees weekly. We feel that by encouraging our staff to “act like owners” empowers them to act decisively in the field. Clients often note that our employees make decisions quickly and efficiently. Our team is highly motivated, which energizes their dedication to achieving superior results for clients. We take pride in mentoring our drafters, designers, and engineers for long-term continuity of service.
We are uncovering better ways of developing designs and drawings by doing the work and helping others do the same. Through this work we have come to value:
That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.
